PRIVACY NOTICE ON VIDEO SURVEILLANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH GDPR 2016/679, RELATING TO THE VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM INSTALLED AT THE SIMS SRL FACTORY

Herewith, pursuant to the provisions of art. 13 of the GDPR, information is provided regarding the processing of personal data acquired and processed through the video surveillance system operating at the SIMS Srl production plant in Reggello, Filarone.

Data Controller

Data Protection Officer
The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is Eng. Celiberto Nicola, contactable at the email address nicola.celiberto@simsitaly.it.

Purpose
The processing of personal data through the video surveillance system takes place in order to guarantee the protection of company assets, prevent accidents and discourage any criminal events, thus excluding any possibility of exercising any form of remote control of workers.
The consultation of images, in real-time, must only take place during periods of production stoppage of the plant, in the absence of personnel inside the plant.
Therefore, any form of continuous control relating to the manner in which employees perform their work is excluded and will only be permitted to personnel specifically identified through a formal letter of appointment.

Information collected and types of data processed
The video surveillance system is active 24/7. The processing involves exclusively the recording of images, carried out cyclically and automatically by the system through software programming that allows for automatic deletion from any media at a pre-set time, in ways that make the deleted data unusable. Real-time recording and consultation of images is only envisaged during periods of plant downtime, in the absence of personnel within the plant itself, and in cases of maintenance operations of the video surveillance system, for strictly necessary periods of time.

Data retention
The recording of images is retained for a period of 72 hours, in order to cover the time span of the normal weekend rest period. Storage periods longer than 72 hours will be possible only in cases of prolonged production stops, due to holidays or extraordinary closures, as well as in the case in which it is necessary to comply with a specific investigative request from the judicial authority.

Communication of data
The data collected through the video surveillance system will not be disclosed. The images may be provided to the police and/or judicial authorities, upon request.

Transfer of data
The Data Controller does not transfer personal data to third countries or to international organizations.

Rights of the interested party
The interested parties who perceive violations of EU Regulation 2016/679 in the processing of their data have the right to exercise, against the Data Controller, the rights referred to in Articles 15, 16, 17, 18 and 20 of European Regulation 2016/679, in addition to the right to lodge a complaint with the Authority for the protection of personal data or to take appropriate judicial action (Articles 77 and 79 of EU Regulation 2016/679).
